$150 is 3 times what they sold for new. $50 is a more reasonable number.

True, that it does but starting with a huge number like that will turn many away without even looking

Frank, you ARE watching. Or is it just me?

Yep, I'm watching. You would think the high dollar would turn people off. Funny thing, a guy listed an engine on RCC for a ridiculous price and OBO. His idea of a high price worked as he had lots of comments and hits. He sold the engine in a few days for best offer. It worked, go figure.

I don't understand your post. Are you saying you paid $150 for one of these?
Mecoa sells these brand new for $89.99.

hi chiefss, i think he's using a neat marketing angle. if you make the price normal, nobody looks. if you make it rediculous, more people will look out of curosity, and it might trigger some to send an offer, just to see how serious the seller is?? Confused

although i may be speaking out of turn for him, i always look when its waaaaay out in left field.........maybe he had it gold plated as it was the last off the assembly line??

take care and fly often!! bill

That may be true for some unknown or rare type engine but a K&B 45 Sporter? Knowing what he's selling I'd never look. Anyone that would pay that price for an engine you can buy from the manufacturer for half that proves that PT Barnum was right.

I like the gold plated idea, alas this one is not.
