I am wanting to know if the intake tubes on the Customs is a screw in item . Also are any of the later Specials also screw in or cast in place when the crankcase is made . Thanks for the help . MAX H. :lol:

Hi ,the intake tube on my custom screws in.It came loose and the only way I could keep it tight was to glue it in with epoxy metal [Devcon].Hope this helps ,but am not saying yours screws in.I am sure my motor had many owners before me!

Thanks Collie, I have just redone 4 of them in the last month & all but one I could see threads on . I have had some broken .23 & .60 Specials & their intakes were cast in . Think when they replace them they must tap the case & thread the tube . Fun & games ! MAX H. :lol:
