K&B Torpedo .45 Green Head

Postby Equuleus » Tue Jun 10, 2008 7:55 pm

Does anyone know where I might find a cylinder head for a K&B Torpedo .45 Green Head? The glo plug threads on the one that's on my engine are starting to get a bit chewed up. The glo plug still tightens but I'm a bit skittish about the endurance factor.

Any suggestions concerning the acquisition of a new one or the possible repair of the present one would be a great help.

Clarence Lee does a very good job repairing stripped threads with Heli-Coils.
They are steel inserts that replace the old threads. He charges $15.00 if you send him the head alone.
His address and phone No. are:

K@B29 Greenhead

Postby C/L Fan » Fri May 10, 2013 5:20 am

Hi all you engineheads out there!

Can anybody tell me where I can get 4 headbolts (UNC no4) for a ratty old K@B which I recently aquired?

Also, I was planning on replacing the piston as well. - As this motor's pretty worn already and of a longstroke origin would a stock .28 be suitable?

(The reason for my asking this, is because I can get hold of one for a Fox 35 easily enough from ebay, and am guessing that parts for Torp 29s have long gone out of production.)

Any help would be appreciated,

Tim
