O.S. Max .40SR /4BK carb

Postby 450magnum » Thu May 15, 2008 5:55 pm

Hi all. 1st post.

I've got an old O.S. .40 SR that I'm rebuilding and I need a link to a good parts source. I really only need a 4BK carb. case. The rest of the engine is in excellent condition.

Any additional info on this engine model would be great also.

Who you calling a gentleman, Frank. The 40SR was a rear induction engine and the 40FSR was a front induction engine. Since you want a 4BK I must assume it's front induction.

try Flsux on this site, he's got that carb and some other FSR parts you can have cheap for that engine, I believe he has a piston and sleeve too.

OS carbs

Postby rteli » Sun Mar 29, 2009 7:50 am

I have a couple of carbs marked 4B. What's the difference between the 4B and the 4BK?
Thanks, Ray

Actually not a whole lot that that I ever saw. I have both, too. The 4B came on the early 40 and 45 FSR's and the 4BK came on the later ones. They both work exactly the same amd there is no diffeence in power. Both are set exactly the same way. Completely interchangable.
