SEIZED COX 010

Postby 010 » Wed Apr 26, 2006 4:42 pm

I have an 010 which has been lying around in my garage (covered in a cloth) for the last 5 years. It has always been cranky and on the last run, I couldn't run the fuel out and now it won't turn over.

I have purchase a new glow head which I will use once it is free (if possible).

Any hints or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

If it were mine I would put a old two bladed prop on it, take the head off & warm the cylinder up good with a heat gun or a clean soldering iron & try to turn it clock wise. Don't use much force as they are delicate. Good luck , MAX H.

YOU CAN PLACE IT IN A PAN OF HOT WATER FOR ONE OR TWO MIN. THIS WILL FREE IT UP, TAKE IT APART AND LUB IT. BOB MATHISON
