Cox reed question

Postby wock » Wed Oct 01, 2008 5:06 pm

Will the newer band aid shaped mylar/teflon reed work with the spring retainer in my Baby Bee engine. Seems like I've seen some kind of plastic reed retainer out there. Is that for a different engine backplate?

Thanks! Bob

I work with Cox engines a lot and as far as I know, you should try and use the plastic retainer. I dont know that there would be a problem with the metal retainer but its worth it to be sure. The plastic retainers should work on any Cox reed 049.
