Do the 074 and the Med 09 use the same head?

Hi Frank.
No.
The Med. uses a glowhead like most of the other Cox engines, but the Queen Bee uses a glowplug that screws in the head.
Hope this makes sense?
The .074 glowplug looks like a normal glowplug. I can send you pictures if you are interrested? Putting them here is beyound my skills :?

The plug for the Queen Bee IS a regular 1/4-32 plug. Short reach I think.

The Medallion or TD09 head will indeed replace the Queen bee head and will give a small boost in performance to the engine. It will not be enough to overcome the Queen Bees title as the worst engine that Cox ever made.

My vote for the worst Cox ever made goes to the cast case 0.049. VERY easy to strip and/or cross thread and wore out crank-to-case fit.
