Kavan carb basic setup help

Postby rdawson » Fri Feb 06, 2009 4:53 pm

Hello,
I just bought the GMS 120 for you with the Kavan carb on it? I do not understand the instuctions about the carb setup? This Kavan carb has 2 inlets. One is the high end and the other is I guess for low end? I have never seen a carb with this design. Please explain simple terms on what tubes are connected ect. I tried to run the motor but it wont go past an idel.
The low end idel air mixtute should be set to what bacis setting to start with?? The other inlet on the carb goes to what?? I dont know. Please advise,
Thanks. Roy

Hooking up Kavan carb

Postby sfry » Sun Aug 30, 2009 12:23 pm

I have read the way to hook up the Kavan carb on the MECOA web site, but have a question: Can this carb be used inverted? If so, what stops the fuel from being vented out of the tank thro the pressure release when inverted?
