Well, I took my 40H-P apart and the rods are different. The H-P has a bigger crank pin. I checked my 40 R/C, FSR, and FP and they all have different rods. I also looked in all the OS parts books I have and couldn't find any engines that used the same rod. Sorry.
Thanks for checking the different 40's you have. I have a friend that might be able re-bushing the old rod. Thing I will give it a try.
