MECA COLLECTO at the Toledo Weak Signals Show Friday, Apr 1

Postby G WILLIE » Sun Mar 27, 2011 8:26 am

The Model Engine Collectors Association, MECA, will have our usual booth at Toledo, #368 in Aisle L. Stop by and meet us; bring your old engines if you have questions.

Also, we will have a MECA COLLECTO (swap meet) for engine and race car related items Friday night from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in Room 304 of the Seagate Center. You have to take the elevator at the left of the paging/registration booth to get there. A portion of Dave Mayer's (deceased) engine and Race car Collection will be there!

You don't have to be a MECA member to attend

The Collecto was good, a lot of quality engines. We had participants from as far away as Denver and Tampa! A good selection of engines in all price ranges. There were 5 Kopper Kings at the show. A Brown Jr Sn A22. A GHQ new in the shipping box.

We'll do it again next year! Check out www,modelenginecollectors.org

Hi Bill:

Sounds like the Collecto was a success and that's good to hear for MECA. That A Brown is an engine that has been alluding Reed. If he was there I am sure he bought it!
