kb 65

I also have a KB 65 with threads stripped in one of the head bolts. The bolt is OK, but the threads in the casing are stripped. What's the best way to remedy this.

Also, has anyone sent engines to MECOA for repairs? How does one do this?
Thanks,
Cheyenne

Don't know enough about MECOA and engine repairs because I don't have one close by my city. I know they specialize in engine manufacturing and service, so it probably wouldn't be that big of a risk to have them do it. I got my engine services at a body shop in Kansas City for my Chevy Silverado.

The Sportster motors are AAC construction and use an integrated style of construction. If the bolt hole in the cylinder is stripped then you need a new cylinder. The part number for the Sportster 65 is 33-5801.
