Hi all
I have a green head DC Rapier is there a way of telling if it is the 1950s model or the green head they reintroduced for a short time in the 60/ 70s
Thanks
Brian

The 2.5 cc twin ball-race Rapier appeared in February 1957. In 1958 there was a limited-edition version of the Rapier with a red-anodized head which was otherwise identical to the original green-head model. More info at the following link;

Thanks for the information it seems that I have the reintroduced green headed model due to the green spinner.
Which is a bit of a pain as I thought it was a Mk 1 but it does have the brass needle assembly not the aluminium one .
Will there be any value to this engine as it is unused and boxed or less value than the blue one
Thanks for the information
Regards
Brian

Value is hard to nail down on something like this. Not many in the US run diesels, let alone smaller ones like the Rapier. Maybe try eBay or something along those lines.
