K&B .91 tuned pipe problems

Postby skater » Sat Aug 04, 2012 8:10 am

I have a new K&B .91 marine inboard and am having a problem with the tuned pipe getting so hot that it is melting the coupler and anything that touches it including the starter belt. I'm not sure what brand the pipe it is but it is a pipe for a .91. Can anyone help me with this problem and what is the best pipe to use on the K&B .91. Thanks

Sounds like a water cooled pipe coupler would help.

Try Aeromarine Laminates. They sell a water cooled clmp that might work. I'm sure there are others out there too.
