New Veco .19

Postby giffy » Fri Dec 24, 2004 11:03 pm

Have any of the internals been re-designed on the new veco .19? Does it still have the iron piston or is it ABC?

Interested to know if the crankweb is any thicker and does it still have that vertical bar in the exhast port window.

Thanks, 8)

Still iron piston, steel liner with the vertical bar in the liner. Different alloy used in crank. Same dims.

You already know I like this engine. Now you've got many in the CL community excited about the re-release. The photos don't show the muffler, though - and it's kind of obvious because the muffler version used the large holes through the sides of the exhaust flange.

I would think you'd want the muffler version in the current climate - maybe you're using an old picture?

Thanks for the venturi on my old one, by the way. It works great.

We're making a new muffler for the CL engine. Not the HB muffler supplied before.

Will you be selling parts for this engine? I have a complete engine less the crankshaft. Will the crankshaft from the new engine fit the old.

Yes we will have parts available and the crankshaft will fit as long as yours is the ball bearing version.

Are you going to add a list of Veco 19 spares and part prices to the website in the forseeable future
