Flex shaft breakage

I've only just got my 3.5ss outboard on my tunnel going on the water and as a shake down running i've borrowed a plastic prop but after about 1.5 hours running the flex shaft broke just near the prop shaft. Do you have any reasons for this as I thought this was a bit soon for this to happen.

You may be using too large of a prop or did not keep the shaft greased. Please please read out website.
