K&B engine identification

I recently got an old street racing car with, what I am assuming, is an older model K&B engine in it. What I want to do is identify what engine this is, the size,whether there is an available manual, and whether there is a pull-start available for it.

Looking at the engine from the front of the car (with the friction starting wheel on the left), here is what it looks like:


1) it has intake on the left, exhaust in the right.
2) "K/B" stamped on the front, "3.5" stamped on the back
3) Serial number on the engine mount on front: "E0009653"

No pull start avaliable.
