I have an older ringed .61 with the square carb and bent wire needle valve. What would be involved in swapping to a remote needle carb? What advantages or dis. of a more modern carb besides the obvious propellor safety? Thanks

Buy part #80-5804 carb and 9255 remote needle.


Needle location is the only advantage.
