Help with K&B 3.5

I bought a 3.5 K&B engine off Ebay. I don't know much about it. Only other numbers on it, other than 3.5 are (J0028284), it has a 2 port exhaust, and a silver carb. Also I was wondering what size glow plug, and type fuel to run, and what about a starter? Also could you tell me if this is an older engine or a newer one.
