Carb for 9181

As I had posted previously, I have been attempting put a carb on an older 9181 marine engine that was using an exhaust throttle. I have a red carb #80-8903 which has a much smaller throat than the front plate of the engine. Is there an adapter to use this carb on this engine or do I need a different carb altogether?

There is a black carb that has the .625 diameter neck. I assume you mean neck not throat as throat is the hole thru the carb.

Check the hole the carb fits into.
