I am having transition trouble. I have noticed that my idle disk is slightly bent back at the needle valve. My question is will a new idle disk that I have ordered fix this problem. I have had this engine since new for over 25yrs. I LOVE IT. Please help me.

Probably. That is a precision for and if any there is any damage to it it may not meter the fuel properly.
