K&B 3.5 drive washer binding

When I tighten the prop nut on my K&B 3.5, the prop drive washer actually scrapes the crankcase housing. If I loosten the nut, the motor will turn over. Do I need to replace the drive washer and cone or is there a shim to place on the back side of the cone? Thank you for your help.

You need to replace the collet (cone) and prop driver.

We do not have a shim.
