Hi, I am seeking the steps to remove the collar off the crankcase, then remove the front bearing (it's rough). The rear bearing feels fine. I work at a fab shop but the presses there would turn that engine into a pancake. I have a small vise and an toaster oven at thome and other assorted tools. I just don't want to damage anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I think you are refering to the tappered "collet"? That is not tight on the crankshaft. Just push the crankshaft out and the collet will fall off.
I will try to post pics of this later this week maybe.

I have the same motor and need to remove the Crankshaft from the front assembly.
Does the crank come out of the top bearing?
Do I need to use heat?
Should the crank be a slip fit into the Top Front housing bearing or a press fit? If its a slip fit should I sand the crank to remove a little material?
Finally how do I remove the lower bearing off the crank assuming I can get the crank assembly out of the front housing.
Just trying to make sure I don't damage more than I fix..
