i have a used rear drum induction .45 . in order to get it on the tuned pipe i feel i have to lean it out too much. i know it is lean . it cut out soon after it is on the pipe.i don't feel there is any air leaks in the system. i'm using the recommended macs pipe, wildcat jet A 10% mccoy #9plug. any sugestions. pipe length ,fuel. i didn't find any suggested lengths for the pipe thanks for any reply Chris

It sounds like the pipe is too short or has too small a volume. Try adding a piece of tube about 1 inch between the pipe and header and see if it improves. If it does add another 1" and so on.

Also your fan may be too big.

maybe 25% and a K&B HP plug
