hi.. was wondering if i will be safe using Odonnell 10% car nitro as long as i keep the needle fairly rich? I have it set at 3-3/4 turns from closed right now.

Thanks.

No, running rich is not the answer.

You need 18% oil and may need to increase the compression ratio if you use that fuel. I don't know the oil content of his fuel.

Here is some reading

thanks. From what ive been told, the RTR Odonnell car mix has 18% oil.

Right now the headgaskets are clearanced for 40%, but i have nowhere local that stocks nitro that high :(.

but anyway...if the Odonnell fuel truely has 18% oil, i should be safe running it in my boat?

You can raise the compression buy removing a shim. How do you know it is set for 40% nitro???
