I am having difficulty planing my boat. I have a 3.5 K&B. The boat is a top speed 2. At first i thought the fexshaft was coming in and out. But i dont think that anymore because as it cuts in the water starts flowing out of the head and as the engine cuts out the the water quits flowing. I noticed on a hard turn the boat stays running longer and also at lower speeds. But as it just starts to come over idle it cuts out. I have balance the model at 2 and 1/2 ounces on the front. Im strting to think i may need more weight. The manual states that you need 1 and 1/2 ounces to balance it but also states that when using k&b you will need to extend the engine out 3/4 of an inch. Which could cause why i am using more weight. Does anyone know whats going on with my boat? Brad

You really need to contact the boat maker. We can only help with the engine here.
What size/make prop are you using?

You can try a Prather 220
But I would talk to the company that made the boat.

Brad it sounds like the engine and trim need adjusting...Start off with a Neutruel trim and the prop shaft 1/8" above the bottom of the sponsons...Also put a x440 or x442 prop on there...Thats what i would check first before contacting the boat builders...What fuel you using??
