k&B 7.5's

Postby Taxman32 » Mon Feb 06, 2006 5:26 pm

We recently purchased a boat which had two K&B 7.5'S. We were able to start both but on the second attempt they froze. We have determined that they will need new connecting arms, piston and sleeves, front and rear bearings for each.
When we dissasembled them they were different one had a slightly larger head cap and different bearings and we have no idea which connecting arms we need. Hopefully you can help us.
The serial #'s are 0010297 and 0004797.
By looking at your price list this rebuilding would be considerable less than purchasing new engines.
What do you think?

This will tell you how to check the rod

The crankshaft is either 15 or 17 mm where the rear bearing fits.

As for what to do, your call. I would want two of the same engines on a twin engine boat.
