Old style K&B .67 inboard carb

Postby bstorm » Fri Apr 14, 2006 9:26 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a replacement carb for the older style K&B 5100 .67 inboard marine motor. Mine has siezed up and cannot get it to break lose. The old part number is 5176.

HEAT IT UP...!

Postby oldlugs » Tue Apr 18, 2006 8:04 pm

Gently and gradually get it hot with a propane torch (not red hot!). Heating has worked time and again for me. With it hot, carefully move the throttle arm, and after it starts to move, squirt a little ATF (automatic transmission fluid) around the throttle barrel, then open and close the carb a few times... Works for me.

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by answering this... Just trying to help.
