I have a K&B 61 Inboard Marine Engine dating to the late 1980's that I am trying to get running. I have lost the documentation/instructions for the engine. Does anyone know the correct starting settings for the high speed and low speed needle valves. Note that this engine has a square carburator attached to the engine and does not have a remote needle valve.
Also it has two venturies - a short one and a long one. What is the difference between the two and what is their impact on the engine's performance[/u]

Thank you. The FAQ did not explain the difference between the long and short venturi tubes. Which one is generally preferred? How do they impact engine performance? Can you explain this to me?

Your guess is as good as mine. The theory is it will change the torque curve so the throttle response will be different. It was discontinued quite some time ago. There are three lenghts available and we have them all in stock.
