Engine wont start seemes to be out of time please help

i have 3.5ccK%b outboard cant get it to start wants to back fire when cranked over cant find out how to time this engine manuelm sayes it runs clock wise the guy i bought the boat from sayes to start it counter clock wise how could this beallso is it possible the con.rod could move on the crank seemes like it hase sliped on the crank or something any help will be much app. :( :(

Looking down at the top of the engine the flywheel turns closkwise.

Look at the blades on the prop, you can tell which way it will push the water.

If you look at the back of the boat the prop will be turning counter clockwise.

Nothing internally can change unless the sleeve is put in wrong, see ....
