Broke my outboard drive shaft. Is this common? What kind of lube do I use? Should I modify the leg (drill hole at top) to be able to lube after every run? Is there any parts available in Canada? Even open to aftermarket ones? Thanks in advance.

Drive shaft??? Flex shaft or prop shaft? I assume the flex shaft...
Use any waterproof grease, the lube holes make it a little easier but are not neccessary.
We ship to Canada daily, you can order thru our parts dept...
http://www.mecoa.com/kb/parts.htm
or any dealer can get them for you.
