K&B Carb gumed up

Postby mudymntbiker » Fri Oct 13, 2006 8:26 am

I am taking apart and cleaning my engine after it has sat with full in it for 10 years. Im using carb cleaner to clean. I took the head and piston out and got the crankshaft to turn. It was completely seized up. I dont know how to remove the carb though to remove the crank and clean the insides out.

I don't know what engine of carb you have. We made so many.

If the rotating barrel is made of steel you can place it in an oven at 300 degrees and that will lossen it. Don't burn yourself.
