sportster cylinder orientation

Postby toad281 » Wed Jan 23, 2008 4:54 pm

I am scrach building a twin engine cessna 310q, and would would like to power it with a pair of K&B .45 sportsters. I am wondering if I can rotate the cylinder and head, 180 degrees, to place the muffler, on one engine, on the opposite side . I am not changing the engine rotation , just the placement of the muffler. I tried it on one of my older .45s and it seemed to run fine . I have asked the owner of my local hobie shop and he said he could see no reason that it wouldn`t work, but sugested that I posted the question here .
