K&B 48 engin will not keep running

I am having problems keeping my K&B 48 running.I have done everything.Replaced all fuel lines,flushed fuel tank,cleaned carb.and I still can not get my motor to run more than 5-10 min in the air.then it dies and I have another dead stick.The motor runs great on the ground. Does the fact it is 20 deg. out side and the elevation here is 5,000 ft have anything to do with the engine running poorly.
