Dark carbon build up in k&b .40

Postby wurstedneptune » Thu Feb 21, 2008 12:08 pm

I just took my K&B .40 apart from running it 10 sessions last year. When I bought the engine it was stuck so I took it apart and cleaned up the bearings. Anyways now the cylinder, piston and head all have a very dark carbon coating on them. Is this normal for an engine. Did I run it too rich? I am using Omega 15% nitro fuel. Any help would be appreciated.

If it is just dark color it's fine, if it is an actual build up you are running too rich.
