disassemble carb

Old style 7.5 carb...I want to check for a clogged spray bar. Decided to fire up my f-86 after 3 years in storage. It wouldn't run! After checking everything else my normally perfect running engine will only run with my finger partially over the venturi, and at an idle. When I release my finger the engine races and quits . I have checked fuel ,fuel lines , plug, crankcase & head gaskets and needle valve, I looked for hairline cracks in the casting. I can't figure it out. Maybe the spray bar is clogged? When I went to take apart the carb which I never touched before, I never had too. I took off the throttle arm expecting the barrel to fall out the other way but it doesn't. The disk with low end mixture screw stay tight in the barrel of the carb so I can't get to the sray barI don't want to force it and I don't even know if that is the problem Anyone have any ideas?

thanks silas
