I just rebuilt my old favorite 61 and I noticed that the new sleeve I just bought has no sign of cross hatching on the inner wall.
Should I leave it smooth crome or should I give it a light hone?

The .61 has a hard chrome surface. You can not put a cross hatch in it. It will take a good hour to break in. Not too rich or it may take several hours.

Thanks for your quick response.
The reason I asked about the cross hatch pattern was my original
Sleeve had the cross hatch pattern on the lower un scuffed part of the cylynder.
I can't wait to start brekin' it in.
Thanks again,
Tom.
