i aquired a dumas hotshot 21 from my dad that he had built in the late 80's and it hasnt been run since the early 90's. but i am having trouble trying to find out what the lower unit is. i dont have it in front of me right now but the motor is a k&b. and the lower unit is black and not a shaft drive but has 2 stainless steel shafts with bevel gears. it has the mercury motor cover and i have never seen and cant find on the internet anywhere if this was a production motor or some frankenmonster that some company made other than k&b. any help would be greatly aprecciated. Adam p.s. i will get some pics and numbers next time i go to the cabin "where it is"

International Hobbies used to sell hulls and lower drive units for OS as well as K&B motors, but if I remember correctly they were for the 7.5cc motors. They were bevel gears as you've described.

Yes these were called AMPS drives. No longer made and I don't know anyone with any parts.
