K&B Torpedo .40 8011 - C/L Venturi options?

Postby au88da » Wed Feb 16, 2011 6:38 am

Hi,
Can the Venturi & NVA from the K&B .40 CL Engine #99-4051 be used on an 8011 Engine to convert it to C/L? If so are they available from MECOA & at what prices? I'd like to convert my 8011 to Control Line.
Thanks.

They can be bought from Leonard Neumann at the stuka Stunt Works, Randy Smith at Aero Precision, or Jim Lee at Lee machine shop. There are other vendors but these come to mind readily.

I've now sourced these direct fit options:

Enya Delrin Venturi # 45B21P
This has a 7mm Venturi / 11mm Shank & is from the Enya 45BB 6001 Engine.

Enya Standard NVA # 60220
This is from the Enya 40-60,SS40/SS50,50CX,60 CL Engines.

Both are now fitted & I'll be bench testing the engine soon.

Hope this helps someone else looking for a simple C/L conversion for their K&B 8011!

You really should have tried one of Randy's needle valve assemblies. They are superior to most everything else available. Really they are that good.
