older 3.5 Aero conrod orientation

older 3.5 Aero conrod orientation

have a new but older version 3.5............the rods in these engines had "K&B" embossed on one side of the rod......which way is it suppose to face?

front or back............

ALSO, THE WRIST PIN ENTERS THE PISTON FROM ONE SIDE ONLY.......WHICH WAY DOES THE PISTON GO?
WITH THE HOLE TOWARDS THE INTAKE PORTS, OR THE EXHAUST.

The rod may have a champher on one side of the lower end

As for the WRIST PIN with pad

Usually the wrist pin with a pad will have the pad opposite the exhaust. The pad must always run against a portion of the cylinder. I can not pass over an open port. If it does it has the possibility of popping into the open port and causing damage.
