Top right is the most common position for aero application.
Bottom right is reverse rotation.
Bottom left is normal rotation.
Top left is reverse rotation.

Top or bottom location of the venture/NVA depends on clearence issuses in your model. This is also the case with the direction you face the exhaust outlet - just clearance - engine runs the same no matter which way the exhaust faces.

Hope this helps.

If your right handed as I am, I've found exhaust on the right is best as otherwise with left hand exhaust you get it in the face on start up when shoving the spinner into the electric starter, and then again on launch.

I found that out after pulling the right hand exhaust Fox35 from my Playboy Snr. and replacing it with a left hand exhaust Greenhead Torp.35. And you can't change that one.

I guess if your left handed then the Torp.40 set up with LH exhaust would be good.

Oops, my mistake - I forgot it's "I before E, except after C" Or, maybe it was an business venture I had in mind . . . Hard to tell these days - the second thing to go is the memory, and I forgot what the first was ;-)

What makes it all too much is that I had typed "ventrie" and went back and "corrected" my typo - so it goes.
