K&B .40 Mounting Screws

Postby dccatl » Sat Sep 13, 2014 5:44 pm

Is there a trick to getting to the the mounting screws on the right side of the engine (4011)? Even if I take the muffler off the flange prevents me from squarely marking the holes for drilling and even if I can mark and drill the holes square there's no way to get a screw driver or hex driver on them.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,
David

If you put the 2 screws in the exhaust side first and hold the engine off the mount so the screws are all the way through the mount you should be able to screw them in as the engine is being pulled to the mount. Then put the screws on the other side in.
