Tomcat Idle Screw Adjustment

Postby Chip Morrison » Thu May 19, 2005 7:16 am

The idle screw will not stay in one place or setting, vibrates out. Will not hold an adjustment. The only way it stays in is when it is torqued against the stop. And this position does not result in a usable idle. I have tried Loctite but that did not work. I have ordered a new set screw and o ring, perhaps that will work. Your advise please? This has been a good engine except for that big time hang up.

Cheers,

Chip

When did you get the engine???

We have a slightly larger o-ring that will give more friction if needed.
