Pressure Fitting For Tatone's Muffler

Postby mreinersman » Sat Apr 14, 2007 7:38 am

I am in the process of building a Smith Mini Biplane from the Sig Kit. I want to keep the plane as close to scale as possible. Sig recommends to use the Tatone's Muffler TAT-11354. I have looked at a Pitts style but I'm afraid that it would cause me to cut the middle section of the cowling out, I don't want to do that. I like the way the TAT-11354 muffler comes out of the cowling better. Now to my question, where would be the best place on the muffler to drill and tap for a pressure fitting on the muffler? This is my first (almost 1/4) Scale Kit.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You can put it any place on the muffler body.
