I HAVE AN H P SILVER STAR WITH A CRACK IN THE FRONT CRANKSHAFT
HOUSING,WHERE THE CARB FITS. I KNOW THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT
SIZES , ALTHOUGH I'M NOT SURE WHAT THIS DIFFERENCE IS .
IS THIS PART STILL AVAILABLE ?AND WHAT PRICE?

The difference is the size of the crankshaft. The early one had a 15mm shaft and the later ones had a 17mm shaft. This is basicly the hole thru the housing between the bearings.
