HP VT 49

Postby Jeza » Fri Jan 27, 2006 12:18 am

Hey there

I was given what looks to me like a VT 49. It says made in Austria on the side. I would like to know what sump oil to use or if it does use sump oil? There seems to be a little drain plug at the bottom.

Unfortunately the engine did not come with a muffler. I live in Johannesburg, South Africa, do you know of any dealer that would stock this part or is there possibly a generic part that would fit?

Thanks

As it states in the owners manual this cap/drain plug is for flushing the lower end.

quote from owners guide...

AFTER FIRST RUN it is a good idea to flush out the lower crankcase thru the lower vent nipple and cap. Clean fuel should be used for this and engine must be run again to remove excess alcohol. Then after run oil should be added thru lower vent tube.

I will change the term "cap" to "drain plug"
