HP Gold cup 61R broken thread

Postby maikatze » Wed Aug 09, 2006 10:29 am

I have a HP Gold cup 61R engine. The problem is that one thread of the cranshaft housing / frond housing side is broken (overturned ). There is no crack in the housing. How can I repair the thread? Is a helicoil working or can a socket be installed (braze welding)?
What is the screw size?
A last question: is there a muffler available and where can I by it in Germany.

Thanks for reply

you can probably tap it to a larger thread size instead of trying to Helicoil it. 4mm should work.

You can order the muffler direct from us. Most dealers don't stock parts. We ship to Europe many time per week.
