VT 49 Fuel draw and Glo plug problems

Postby Ted Hatton » Sat Sep 02, 2006 3:22 pm

I am having what I see as a common problem with My HP VT49s. I see that in your spares list you show a High draw carburetter. Is this still available?
Also I am having difficulty obtaining suitable plugs. The manual recommends HP VT plugs. Are these obtainable? If not What do you recommend. i.e. what heat rating? and can you supply?

The main problem with fuel draw in not enough oil in the fuel. Be sure you have at least 20% oil.

A K&B 1L STD long plug works good, #7311

I haven't had a call for the high draw carb since we found the oil content problem cures it most of the time.
