HP 21 VT question...

Postby rapmoz » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:41 am

Hi,
I would love to upgrade this austrian engine with a bearing set,

I suspect I have to buy a bearing head too but will be other parts to order to complete the upgrading?
thanks, Chris

Just the bearing head is all you need.

Hello,
Just received the bearing head kit for HP VT21, it's provided with TWO slim washers and my VT21 has on ly ONE washer between the head and the top of the gear of the rotary valve.

My question: should I put the 2 washers or only one ??? Thanks !

You need .005" clearance so you must measure the top of the valve to the case and the bearing to the valve cover and do some math.
