I have an HP 49 VT which runs well in the upright position. I need to install it inverted in a new model. Should I use the same plumbing connections as for upright running or is there another method of connecting the lines to protect the valve assembly?

Yes all the same but... Start it with the plane inverted and be sure the engine isn't flooded. Don't let the fuel siphon into the carb while it is sitting. Very important.
