Do 25 yr. old Perry Pumps still work if new?

Postby PaulGibeault » Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:01 pm

Gentlemen:

I have from an estate a NIB HB61 PDP pumper engine. This
engine cost C$235 when it was purchased a long time ago.
That would have been a LOT of money in those days.....

My question to you is:

1. In such as case, where the engine is say 20-30 years old but still NIB, will the regulator diaphragm inside the pump still be ok, or will the pump part of the engine need to be rebuilt?

2. In the case of a used pumped engine with no history...is it a good idea to have the pump re-built?

3. Do you people offer such a service?

Thank-you for your assistance, it's much appreciated.

p.s. the HB 25 cyl is back in position sucessfully, thx!

We found new or used pump both went bad after 10 years

No one offers a fix for these. I suggest you try running them to see. Maybe they will work.
